Training Schedule

ArcAPEX Training Course--Jan. 18-19, 2012 College Station, TX

This course will include an introduction to using ArcAPEX.  Students will get hands-on experience of setting up ArcAPEX to create a simulation.  APEX parameters will be discussed along with a brief discussion about the theoretical aspects of the APEX model.  Several scenarios will be set up and run, and results will be compared.  Setting up user-defined stream and watershed data as well as integrating APEX results into SWAT will also be discussed.  The user should be familiar with ArcGIS

This course was developed for use in whole farm/small watershed management. The model was constructed to evaluate various land management strategies considering sustainability, erosion, economics, water supply and quality, soil quality, plant competition, weather and pests. Cost for the two-day training is $500 per person ($300 for students).

Workshop begins at 8:30am and ends at 4:30pm; lunch is on your own.  Potential participants must RSVP by October 1, 2011.  If enough interest is shown, registration will open on October 1, 2011.
